生肖──十二年不斷循環的年曆，是傳統、是一直的流傳；

紅色──農曆新年必代表的色相，也是傳統、慣常見的；

文字──揮春上必附上的話語，而篆書可說是最早文字的演表者，亦是傳統之祖；

本年為牛，因此此作品很簡單，只是把人們以往慣有的傳統放在一起，給人既熟又近，且有歸屬感，從而找找我們常見揮春裏的話語。

Animal symbols: calendars in a 12-year cycle, are a tradition and the passing on of tradition;

Red: the symbolic color of Lunar New Year, it is also an often seen part of tradition.

Words: must be shown on hui cun (four-word phrase written on red paper), seal script (a calligraphic style) is said to be the earliest writing form, also the forefather of tradition.

As 2009 is the year of the Ox, this work is very simple. By putting together the traditions people have observed, it creates a close and familiar sense, which is also a sense of belonging. You can try to find out the most used words in hun cun.
